I am a big fan of tea, mostly the Chinese tea and green tea. I believe that tea is a good source of anti-oxidant as well as assist in body detox process. Green tea especially has been found to improve bone mineral density and strength. At times when I try to avoid too much of caffeine intake, I will enjoy some Chamomile or Peppermint tea instead. Chamomile is known for the calming relaxation effect, whereas peppermint tea can help with boosting metabolism and also very soothing when you catch flu or have sore throat. A cup of pu er tea or oolong tea is great to wash down heavy greasy meal, as some claims to be effective in fighting fat and helps with weight loss.
I usually have a cup of black tea at work for morning tea time, green tea with lunch and two more green tea until I finish of work, then at least two cups with dinner and after dinner. As many benefits as tea can provide, you need to be careful not to have too many cups a day as it has given me gastritis. So, have you readers experienced gastritis caused by taking too much tea (mainly the strong Chinese tea)?
